about

eleOnora wrote this lyrical theme of "Extinction Funk" already three years ago. We were planning to put this song on the album “Hello Bob!”, but the subject did not match so well with the rest of that album, so we decided to work on it with a future album in mind. At first the name of the song was 1.5°. The real name for this song manifested itself in spring 2019 as we finally started to find a musical shape to it – “Extinction Funk” was signalling in eleOnora’s head during each rehearsal, sO! now we have it.
As you can already assume, it is not an easy song in it’s meaning. Here is also a short video teaser introducing (just a few of) the protagonists of “Extinction Funk”.

lyrics

Who are those living in the blue?
OCEAN!
Who are those living in the green?
JUNGLE!

Who will remember?
Clouded One!
Lonesome George!
Black Faced Honey Creeper!
Cryptic Tree Hunter!

Who are those living in the blue?
OCEAN!

Everybody loves the sunshine!
Just trees and things and flowers.
What once was a stream,
now is just a dream!
And it ain't gonna rain no more!
Now that my baby is gone!

about

Ringhold Estonia

RINGHOLD plays unorthodox & exp. blues. Some call it melancholic, some say it’s sort of a freaky danceable music. eleOnora on vocals has been described as Jim Morrison channeling Meredith Monk. A machine gun? No problem! Dadaist gibberish? Easy! Kalle Tikas get’s lost in a northern Baltic liminalistic desert blues quest. ... more
